The quickest first. Each opens with a first page for the job: units, code edition and which checks to run.
- 01Buckling: VIII-2 5.4
Buckling analysis
Eigenvalue buckling of your current model only; no stress, fatigue or ratcheting checks.
- 02Limit load: VIII-2 5.2.3
Limit-load analysis
VIII-2 5.2.3, elastic-perfectly plastic, small displacement: each Table 5.4 combination passes if equilibrium holds at its factored load. VIII-2 route only; no large-displacement 5.2.4, 5.3.3 local strain or ratcheting yet.
Opening a tool asks you to sign in. The finite-element tools are free during early access and under independent verification.
Use it for
- 01Thin shells, skirts and cones under axial load, bending or external pressure; vessels with attachments under vacuum.
- 02A heavily loaded nozzle, lug or trunnion that fails the elastic check by a small margin.
- 03Junctions where elastic stresses are hard to classify, and shapes with no design-by-rule formula.
